I have taught a variety of project-based immersion courses since 2007. This page contains historical information about past courses. In 2026, I decided to head off in a new direction and retired all of my courses.
This is a mostly complete list of courses I've taught in the past with links to the course description page. These courses are not currently scheduled.
It's sad, but true. The courses that I used to offer here have to come to end. I'd just like to thank everyone who attended over the years--I really enjoyed teaching these classes and hope that those of you who took them learned a lot. I know I did!
Honestly, I thought I might be teaching these courses into my retirement, but the enrollment numbers don't lie. Since 2023, there has been a complete collapse in the market for continuing education. As this was my primary source of income, I've been forced to move on. Consequently, this will likely also be the end of my involvement with open source.
In reflecting upon all of this, this upheaval comes at a time when my kids are heading off to college. Even if business conditions were better, would I really want to spend all of my empty-nest days sitting in the basement, staring at Zoom, and walking the dog? Probably not. So, for the moment I've decided to go back to graduate school to get my Professional Educator's License in Secondary Education, final destination unknown. Stay tuned.
